Dr. Vijay Chauthaiwale is the In-Charge of the Foreign Affairs Department of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) since 2014. He is known for his efforts in strengthening India's international relations and engaging with the Indian diaspora globally through the Overseas Friends of BJP (OFBJP), which operates in over 40 countries. Prior to his political role, he had a successful career in pharmaceuticals, serving as Vice President at Torrent Pharmaceuticals, where he led research in drug discovery.

Dr. Chauthaiwale holds a Ph.D. in Microbiology from the University of Pune and has conducted postdoctoral research at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in the United States. His leadership skills are further bolstered by executive education from the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore, and London Business School.

In addition to his political and scientific contributions, Dr. Chauthaiwale has co-authored books on topics related to Hindutva and India's foreign policy, including The Modi Doctrine. He is also an active writer and speaker on international relations and science, contributing to various media platforms​.
