Major Saras Tripathi is a retired Indian Army officer, author, and public intellectual. He served from 1992 to 1999, including during counter-insurgency operations in Kashmir and along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu & Kashmir. He left the army after the Kargil War and later became a notable writer and speaker.

He is also a motivational speaker and publisher, and his academic background includes a Master's in Philosophy from the University of Allahabad and an MBA in Human Resources.
