Jerome Anto

Jerome Anto is known as a politico-religious observer and a prominent advocate for Hindu resurgence in India. He actively engages in discussions around the rights of indigenous people, particularly focusing on the impact of religious conversions on these communities.

Recently, he filed a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) in the Supreme Court of India, which sought to curb what he described as fraudulent religious conversions targeting Hindus and minors. However, the court dismissed this petition, questioning the appropriateness of the PIL and stating that such issues may not fall within its jurisdiction.

Anto argues that efforts to convert indigenous populations undermine their rights and cultural heritage. He believes that rectifying historical distortions in India's narrative is essential for national empowerment and development.

His views reflect a broader discourse within India about the importance of reclaiming cultural identity and addressing the historical narratives surrounding religious and cultural practices.
