Commander Harinder Sikka is a retired Lieutenant Commander from the Indian Navy, a successful businessman, and an acclaimed author and film producer. He is known for his best-selling novel Calling Sehmat, which was later adapted into the Bollywood movie Raazi (2018). The book is based on the true story of an Indian woman who spied for India in Pakistan during the Indo-Pak wars.
Sikka began his career in the Indian Navy in 1979 and took early retirement in 1993. He is currently the Group Director of Strategic Business at Piramal Enterprises. He has also made significant contributions to literature and cinema, notably producing the film Nanak Shah Fakir (2015), which won three National Film Awards.
His works, including Calling Sehmat and his subsequent book Vichhoda, reflect his deep interest in history, national security, and spirituality.
